Right. One of the things that arose out of Saturday night's dinner-party discussion was the notion of a livejournal/mailinglist gateway - allowing posts to a mailing list to appear on an LJ community, and allowing posts to that community - and to specific livejournals, possibly - to appear on the mailing list. olethros suggested that LJ is a good place to discuss this, so on ye go. I'm thinking particularly here of Tamson House and fibbers.

I've just discovered that the restriction on downloading MP3s here in work is gone, and I immediately went about fetching a track (Three Imaginary Boys) by Brainslur. (See also brainslur). Oh. Wow.

You need to hear this stuff, folks. It's REALLY good. I want this on CD now, since I don't want to abuse the work bandwidth by downloading everything. I wish I'd known about it when I had a good fat pipe to the 'net...
