Livejournal is co-operating, and I have a few minutes while I wait for stuff from the Head Marketeer. Yay.
Well, we moved the cat to the new house on Saturday (and she stopped meowing about eight hours later), and one of the computers on Sunday. So as to leave some connection in the old house until we're properly out of it, and not deprive![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
puritybrown of a net connection altogether, the remaining machines are staying where they are for a bit longer.
We seem to have the essentials moved. Bedclothes, washing gear, the cat's gear, some books, some food. It's amazing how little of the collected stuff we can get along with. I'll likely be selling off a bunch of the books that I'm not much bothered about; while I do want cash for them, I'm not going to gouge people. I'll advertise them here for a week before they go on eBay. Anyone want a trumpet? B-flat, decent condition, with carrying case.
microgirl will be giving us boxes on Wednesday evening, and my father will be around on Sunday to move stuff, so we'll go for moving a lot of the big items then.
Much kudos goes to Niall-who's-not-on-LJ for driving us back and forth to pick up the computer and books and a small table and briquettes for the fires...
Speaking of which, I verymuchlike having open fires. They're fantastic. The one in the kitchen is temperamental and difficult to light, but the ones in the sitting room and our room are easy and good. We haven't tried the dining room one yet, nor the one inolethros' room.
