This is bizarre. It's a "Doctrinal Christian Interpretation of the Columbia Breakup". I'm not certain what to think of it - or rather, of the writer. I mean, he's done an admirable job of hauling together what he apparently considers evidence. But some of his symbolism is really stretched, and I can't see the things he claims are in the images. I wonder if he's convinced, himself.

What would the term be for someone who attempts to divine from current events? A novomancer?

Though much of this seems to be divining from the positioning of things in pictures, which sounds like photomancy or something. In any case, hm. This guy's style makes me squick.

Prophecy


This is all so interesting. It seems other religions are using the shuttle crash as a prophecy too - Beliefnet has an article reviewing some of the many diverse and often contradictory interpretations that are being made about it here:
