It's very strange not to have to disconnect after reading email at home in the morning. I kept getting these almost-electric bursts of "Bugger, I forgot to disconnect", and the remembering that no, I don't have to.
mr_wombat, obsessed gleam in his eye, finished writing AO patches to CD at about 01:00 this morning, and left with his entourage. AO is installed on my machine, and seems to run; it's pretty, although I've seen essentially nothing of gameplay yet. I do have an instinctive dislike of the weird camera behaviour, like it was on a balloon tied to the player character. But I'm sure I'll get used to it. I don't think I'll have much time - if any - to play it between now and Sunday or so, though. I'm playing a Solitus Enforcer, by the name of Shevon. Yeah, this probably sounds familiar to a few people.
Appraisal between now and lunch.
