And your reply would be?

"They're not my IRA."

"Quiet at the moment, but things will heat up during parade season."

"Fine, thank you. But Gerry Adams claims he can envisage a future without them."

Oh. In case you really don't know (and there's no reason you should), the spam is referring to your Individual Retirement Account.

Yeah, but check out the wacky HTML code! I've never seen some of those tags.

It's called Front Page, apparently ;-)
Okay, okay, a tad harsh, but hey, who can resist cheap shots at Microsoft?

You know, seeing a spam that read "how's your IRA" addressed to an Irishman, I completely missed the tags! I'm seeing so many weird strings of characters in spam *headers* lately I think my brain just ignored them in the HTML.

Apparently LJ thinks "<Anglophobiac>" is a real tag.

I'm guessing the word would refer to a person who is desperately afraid of the English. What the tag would do is beyond me. Must be that DHTML stuff.

Sounds about right. :D

Turns out it's the fancy new way spammers are using to get past Bayesian filtering - Spam Assassin stuff. Shifty buggers.
