Right. I have time to update, for once. This not having time thing has been bothering me of late. I got the idea from somewhere - not my family, because I don't think many if nay of them work like it, but somewhere - that grownup life ahd a pattern to it. You got up early enough to cook and eat breakfast, read the paper and any post, listen to the radio, and you went to work. You did a day's work, and then you came home, had tea, did what you wanted for the rest of the evening, including cooking and eating dinner at some point. You had your lunchbreak to do shopping and other business in.
Reality is subtly different, of course, but I just realised with the arrival in the house of a television that many parts of the world still operate as though that were the case. There's the six o'clock news, for instance. Who in blazes is home these days at six o'clock? There's the notion that you can engage in hobbies when you've a few spare minutes - but unless I make special arrangements, I have between zero and a negative amount of spare minutes.
I feel vaguely cheated, timewise, but there's not much I can do about it.

It's a matter of figuring out which hobbies have become habbits and maybe dropping them for a while. Now I play anarchy online for my hobby time and paint models for the rest of it. It also means I spend more time with Ar.

Time in which to be spontaneous is a necessity. We call it "unformatted time" chez nous. I don't get nearly enough of it.
