If "attention-wealth" is to be compared to monetary-wealth in terms of "value", then it's of use only for two things: ego-boosting (look how rich/popular I am), and spending (since, as we all know, You Can't Take It With You). Since the former is usually fairly useless and unpleasant, it is to the latter we turn. And, as with monetary wealth, I guess it boils down to how you spend it.
