Home. Knackered. Overheated. Have eaten. House seems very strange when it's just me and the cat. Was intending to be all organised and pack this evening for Saturday morning, but am instead unable to do anything but slump in front of computer. Am well aware it's hotter in UK, parts of US, all of Europe, and would be even more miserable there. Walked out of new M&S in Dun Laoghaire at lunchtime, heat like wet warm dishrag in the face. Only cold objects in house are ice (almost all gone, more freezing) and head of ritual hammer. Even bloody hammer now warm to the touch, having been sitting against the back of my neck for twenty minutes. Dearly wishing for thunderstorm and contemplating full on cold shower.
