Following the good example of
inannajones, I just went out and got a new mobile on the O2 service, rather than on my existing Vodafone service (Vodafone are bastards, and charge too much for sms). The new phone is a Nokia 5510 - the weird one with the full keyboard and the screen in the middle. This is for a couple of reasons - the first is that I'm still slow finding my way around the keypad for text messages, and the second is that the 5510 can store music - about 2 hours of MP3s, or whatever. It has other neat stuff too - a vibrate alert, more games, handsfree gear... all looks cool and useful.
