The weather is being unpleasant, and unpredictable. The BBC forecast for the weekend was that it would be overcast for the most part, with no rain. Saturday, there was blazing sunshine. Sunday, a thunderstorm, with the heaviest rain I've seen in a long time - possibly ever. [livejournal.com profile] inannajones and I stood at a bus stop for a few minutes and watched traffic trying to drive through the 18 inches or so of water in the road, with lots more water fountaining into it from some kind of grill a bit further up. It was impressive. We gave up and went back to the house. This morning was wet and cold.

Yesterday evening, [livejournal.com profile] olethros wandered over to our place, and we had a very pleasant evening of game discussion, dinner, and some poking at game numbers in the later part of the evening. The gas fire in the sittingroom isn't a real fire, but it can do a good impression.

I've seen a fair number of people posting on LJ and various mailing lists, saying that they have no or few social skills, or that they don't know the rules of social situations.

Oh, and while I think of it, Friday night's game rocked - best one I've run in ages, and got complimented directly by three of the players on it. That, and [livejournal.com profile] metalrabbit didn't leave the house until well after 2 am. *grin*

It seemed to hit everyone's tastes fairly square-on. Me, I'm blaming it on the campaign-rejuvenating effect of the ELH.

[livejournal.com profile] timesofhaelthan has been updated. Age of Legends players, you've seen it already - but if you want to comment, fire away. Threshold of Ages players, feel free to read, but try not to abuse the spoilers therein. Middle Kingdoms players (those who aren't in other campaigns) - this will make no sense to you at all, but feel free to read it anyway.
