That's better. We're online properly today. Yesterday's offlineness was actually due to measures taken to prevent the attacks on our server. They worked a little TOO well. Now, there were a few things I meant to address... ah yes

50 USER ICONS!

Holy cow. That'll provide enough to have one for all the regular NPCs I post as in the game communities, plus a whole bunch more.

I woke up this morning from a dream that I was a (fantasy) military psion who wasn't quite sure whether reality was in his head or outside it. It took me quite some time to actually get going.

Piro's talk in TCD tonight - hey, [livejournal.com profile] puritybrown, you want that signed to your full first name, abbreviated first name, or what? Gonna go with full first name if I don't hear from you.

To remind myself: I'll be needing 23-minus-4, that's 19 icons for the NPC Defenders. One for each of the three campaigns, to add to the generic D&D icon I already have. One for food stuff. One for social events, gatherings, stuff like that. One for pagan stuff. One for use mostly in comments - a "Stop being an idiot" icon. I suppose I'd have an "I'm an idiot" icon to balance that. One for weather and meteorology stuff. Maybe one for when I'm posting from Finland, to be used over Christmas. That's only 29 of the extra 40... most excellent.

Anyone know if any of the new music download services - iTunes, Napster, and so on - can be used outside the US, and by a PC? The new Napster, at least, definitively states that unless you're in the US, you're screwed:

Currently, the Service is only available to residents of the United States. You understand and acknowledge that you may not sign up for, access, or attempt to access or use the Service from countries outside of the U.S.
