I'm bemused by the difference that the weekend and a bit of pellwork in the backyard since is making. Even when my arm is getting tired, I can now deliver a flat snap to within about a quarter an inch of where I want it - at least on the pell. The offhand is less accurate still, though. What's really surprising me is that I seem to be almost as accurate with the left hand already - if I can get the strength in the left up, I may have to consider switching hands.

A shield, with basket grip
A rattan sword, with basket hilt
Gauntlets, demi- or full or both
Books about medieval furniture
About two extra days in every weekend
A source of square iron nails in various sizes, buckles, and leather straps

So let's see if this prediction comes out anything near reality. Metcheck is giving near freezing temperatures, sleet and snow for the week from the 28th of January to the 3rd of February in Dublin. I shall believe it when I see it.
