I've been getting marks back from the tutor on my OU work, and mostly, they've been nothing too impressive. Mid forties to low fifties. That's ok, they're still passing marks, and I know I'm only getting the hang of academic writing. However, the last essay was on Rousseau, David, and Friedrich, and it was a cast-iron bugger. I whinged my way through writing it, took ages about it, and generally recognised that it was a difficult essay. The mark came back yesterday. 68%. I am well chuffed.

I got the Expanded Psionics Handbook at the weekend. I don't think I can express myself properly on the subject unless I say something like: OMG IT IS TEH R0XoR!!!111!. Which doesn't do it justice. It is a thing of beauty and wonder, and it's the first rulebook in a very long time that I have read cover to cover. Players in any of my campaigns can now expect more psi.

I also looked at the Complete Divine, and was unimpressed. I shall not be buying it. The Complete Arcane had best be an improvement, or I shall be wroth.

I see that the Monster Manual III is being brought out in perfect time for my birthday in September. Someone take note.

There is some uncertainty concerning Frostburn. It could be cool - it's likely to be, considering the writers - but it's beginning to sound a little desperate in the "must think of new releases!" way. I hope I'm wrong.

Guilty as charged, m'lord. Yes, I am a drooling fanboy. What's that, m'lord? Buy you one too?

I will of course be wanting The Book of Iron Might.

Everybody knows how much I love undead, so Liber Mortis should be a lot of fun. Come to think of it, I haven't had any undead villains in aaaages. Time to fix that.

And finally, I'm sure I've mentioned Beyond Countless Doors before, but there's no harm at all in mentioning it again.
