I'm bored of my usual selection of cheeses. Anyone want to bring some new ones along to the Yule party for people to try?

I won't be coming due to (groan) having to be at my parents' again, but can I suggest Cashel blue if you don't already have it in your usual list? It's simply gorgeous.

I can't come due to being far and not particularily well off but I can suggest real Norman Pont l'Eveque or Camembert if you're not afraid of strong and fragranced creamy cheeses.

Good question. Smoked applewood, blue brie, stilton, brie, camembert, gouda, edam, strong cheddar.

Go irish

Cais na Ri swiss-style cheese. It is pleasantly sweet, tasty to eat by itself and excellent in a toasted sandwich. Available from Superquinn or Sheridans that I've seen.

I can bring some cheese if I thought people would eat it. What sort of quantities?

Well, enough for me anyway. There are probably about half a dozen other devoted cheese eaters. [livejournal.com profile] grutok will probably die of blue cheese induced coma some day.

Not cheese related..but different

This Yule I shall be mostly bringing...
Cinnamon Cake.

If I can gets me the proper ingredients.

Debs mentioned the abundance of sweet things, so I scrapped the profriteroles, and am instead bringing something spicy (if you count cinnamon as a spice...is it? Or is it in a league of its own?)

Anyhou, it'll be cinnamony and cake like (hopefully)
