We're back from Unicorn's Inspiration.

The main point of the weekend, as far as I was concerned, was that I authorised in sword and shield, albeit with a caveat from the Viceroy to patch up my helm by August 31st. Now I can really start fighting.

And then I took part in my first real tournament, which turned out to be rather a difficult format. Seven men on the field. Every man for himself. Last man standing wins. Continue until someone has won four, and then continue for second and third place. The result was 45 minutes of full on fighting. I won one round, and with one knight - Sir Michael (temporarily know as Sir Mikey Heraldsbane, to whom we needed not show the courtesy due the Viceroy), and two Squires - Lords Arthur and Brian - in the tourney, I was pretty happy with that. It went to 18 rounds, I think, and by the end of it, I was completely beat, but very much enthused.

I'm definitely going to have to get to some more tournaments, although I could live with a less intensive format. It was good for the populace, though.

There were a couple of awards handed out at Court on the Saturday, some of which we knew about, although I think Arthur was rather surprised to recieve the Order of The Dragon's Bowle.

I spent almost the entirity of Sunday sitting around recovering, talking to people, although I did discuss a web page with Sagadis and Sigmundr, with various suggestions from other folks.

And Cernac won the overall title of Unicorn's Inspiration, as per my prediction.

And then there was my induction into the Pathfinders' Guild, which I think probably needs a webpage of its own.

A Good Event.
