ah the Antikythera mechanism - I've seen a few x-rays of that. Hey one of my hobbies is those "we're the survivors of a advanced civilization that lost their technology" books. Eric Von Dankien warped my mind!! Some of them have valid points but some of the authors get caught up in the insanity and seem to get to the drooling idiot stage quite quickly in their theories. Unfortunately some of the valid points seem to get lost and regular archaeology don't like the idea of this stuff.
