I gather it's pretty normal for guys, when the girlfriend or wife goes away for a bit, to go "Right. Now I can do X thing that I never normally get to do."

I've been thinking for half an hour, and I haven't come up with anything. That's pretty cool.

In other news, there seems to be a lack of Nokia phone chargers around here, and my phone is dead. Anyone in Dublin got a charger I could wander over and use for an hour?

I have one. olethros mentioned something about hot chocolate, so what about the two of you wandering over this afternoon? Am working on revising a second chapter and hope eventually to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (some of which need to be saved for wyvernfriend and grutok as a thank-you for the drill, but the rest are fair game) and I'll try to provide decent chocolatey-ness. Perhaps olethros could recommend something I could snag from the shop when I go to pick up eggs and milk.

About the only thing I do when Dave is out of town that I normally can't do is eat pasta with alfredo sauce, since even the smell of alfredo makes him feel sick, but I like it.

More or less, the only thing I do while ragnvaeig is off in another country, that I couldn't while she's with me, is watch really terrible semi-historical films. Mmmm, Knight's Tale. It's a pretty sad guilty pleasure.
