As I write, a page on The Wizard of Duke Street is coming up as the number one result for searches on “doctor who doomsday” on google. Being as this is currently the hottest rumour in the Doctor Who world, this pleases me immensely. That link is spoilerific, mind.

Yeah, I suppose Captain Jack doesn't count as a Companion, quite.

Meh, ignore last comment. It really isn't a big deal and I'm really not annoyed, just being slightly petulant, and post may have given wrong impression.

I think at that point, you're actually going to have to walk around with your eyes closed, or find some way to disable the part of the brain that recognises words.

"doctor who doomsday" is about as uninformative as "spoilers" get, particularly considering there's no knowing if it refers to the Biblical doomsday (considering recent episodes, that's possible), the Doomsday Book (time travel being a theme), Doctor Doomsday (comic character), or something else entirely. The rumour has nothing to do with the word "doomsday", as it happens - that's just the label it has.

Promoting speculation: that's how the world works. Gotta live with it. :)

As to how it happens, Search Engine Optimisation is a black art, at which I'm becoming better over time. It involves page titles, headers, incoming links, outgoing links, how often you update a site, and quite possibly the exact colour of the pigeon running around in google.

Humour, too. I wonder what a sense of homour is, and if I could sell it, cos I've not yet found a use for it...

Gotta wonder what defines one. Travelling in the Tardis? That qualifies Jack and Mickey as well.

At this point, defining 'Companion' is absurdly tricky. 'Shows up in multiple episodes and works or travels with the Doctor as opposed to being part of whatever situation the Doctor is in' might work, but I'm not sure if even that works.

Oh, yeah. They're definitely both Companions to my mind.
