Cumbrian Squirrel Wordsworth Daffodils Rap

Originally published at Now Is A Long Time Too. You can comment here or there.

The Cumbrian tourist folk have decided that Wordsworth’s poem about daffodils needed updating. Hence, they’ve repackaged it as a rap video by a giant red squirrel. You really need to see it to believe it (needs sound). While I’m thoroughly boggled by it, I have to admit that it’s damnably convincing as rap.

well, they sort of changed the words a little, adding some rap filler and making it a bit more rhyme-y. but not bad, in a freaky "what? english people/giant squirrels rapping?" kind of way.

Fair enough, poetry and rap are connected. OK, that poem does not work too bad as a rap.

But did they have to use that sodding squirrel?
I suddenly feel ashamed to be Cumbrian.
