  • I am still alive

  • I am still reading LJ

  • I am posting more on Google+ and on my blogs than anywhere else

  • I am also posting on Twitter from time to time

  • I am starting a BA in Humanities in DCU in October

  • I am putting thought about that on a college blog here

  • I am, with [livejournal.com profile] sabayone, running the Charity Bring & Buy Stand in Gaelcon again this year

Glad you're still alive. :}
Even though I knew that 'cause I follow you on Twitter & sub to some of your blog RSS feeds.

Even if I read several of your blogs, I'm glad to see you haven't abandoned LJ totally. How exciting that you're going back to uni. I hope it will go very well for you. As "humanities" is such a broad term, is the course a "general" humanities course, or is it focussed on particular parts?

I miss you guys (and all the other people I hang out with in Dublin - send them my love when you see them), and I wish my finances and holidays allowed for more travel. Lots of love!

Good luck with the whole college/work thing!

The course is very broad, covering literature, history, sociology, psychology and philosophy. 6 modules of each, and you need 12 modules total out of the 30 available to complete it.

I intend, at present, to do the full literature track, the base module in everything, and then two other modules as take my fancy.

I think it'll be fine; the people in charge here are very supportive of the notion, and I've already had some interesting discussions of literature with the Ops Manager. And the Boss Lady is taking an intensive course in either Spanish or Italian soon, so we reckon we'll both be doing homework at lunchtime. :)

glad to see you on lj even just a little. i still prefer the type of connection that it allows over any other online format i've found so far.
