Right. One of the things that arose out of Saturday night's dinner-party discussion was the notion of a livejournal/mailinglist gateway - allowing posts to a mailing list to appear on an LJ community, and allowing posts to that community - and to specific livejournals, possibly - to appear on the mailing list.

olethros suggested that LJ is a good place to discuss this, so on ye go. I'm thinking particularly here of Tamson House and fibbers.
