Quick note on a truly bizarre thing that's floated to my attention. Apparently, Yahoo are altering incoming html mail to yahoo.com addresses - simple word replacements. One of the changes they're making is to replace "eval" with "review". That shouldn't change the sense of things much, right? Wrong. Medieval becomes Medireview. The bizarre thing is that this has evidently been going on for a while - long enough for people to recieve texts containing "Medireview" at their yahoo addresses - and post them, in many cases unaltered, on web pages. Look, for example, at Tuscany Adventures' Medieval Ride, wherein you may climb "up an ancient medireview stone road", and enjoy the "Medireview Treasures of Tuscany". NTK figure it's to prevent cross-site scripting attacks in HTML email, and give a list of the changes here. Nice going, yahoo. (Google search for more "Medireview")
