Last night was the Yule Party. I won't go into the full guest list, but suffice it to say that at one point, from where I was sitting, I could see about twelve people, and all of them were LJ users. It went very well, and rolled on until about 3 am, at which point people departed en masse. We even had one stayover, which was good - I like having people stay; it seems to extend the party that much further.

[livejournal.com profile] syleth got me bookstands. They're perfect, and I'm currently sitting here surrounded by standing books, open at random pages.

Tomorrow, we brave town for the last of the present shopping, having gotten more than expected at the Craft Fair in the RDS. And then, I think, there's something every evening until we leave for Finland on the 21st, including The Two Towers on Thursday evening.

The last three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in work are going to be strange; it's the last week for everyone, and I suspect there'll be a fair bit of messing rather than working, but there's also the need to make sure that everything is working for the two weeks off.

I'm really looking forward to being in Finland. Real weather, seeing the folks there again, and the whole Finnish Christmas. And New Year. Fireworks!
