Back in work after two days off sick with I-don't-know-what-the-hell-that-was. Symptoms were muscles aches, headache, sore throat and complete voice loss. The voice came back fine yesterday after the application of hot tea; this morning it's gone again (went on the train, as far as I can make out - perhaps it's in Bray) and doesn't seem to want to return at all. Otherwise I'm in good order, except for a few sorenesses around the neck. Communicating by writing only is interesting.
The weather today is being bizarre. When I got up, it was raining. There was a brief flurry of snow as I stood waiting for a bus (the most efficient route, bizarrely, appears to be 11, 18, Dart). And now it's sunny outside. The weather forecast is for just plain cold, with wintry showers possible only. That's not what's on the charts according to my reading of them, but I'm not getting my hopes up either.
Haven't been able to think much over the last couple of days, so have played a lot of Morrowind. I'm playing a mage, now level 3, and have spent a great deal of time just wandering across the open spaces of the continent, trying to get to some of the eastern parts, and getting killed by rampaging monsters in a blow or two. At least I'm now tough enough to kill the Cliff Racers before they get me.

I have had that game for months now. Maybe a year. I find it hard to play anymore because, frankly, I can't stand the time I need to invest in the game wandering slowly from town to town or place to place. It's a fun enough game, but I just don't like spending four hours just so I can maybe level something and finally get a quest done///
On the other hand, I am easily sidetracked by other quests.
Also, I hate the organization of the Journal.
Other than that, I love this game in a very cuddly way.

Oh, believe me, I take full advantage of all those. I often strategize where to cast Almsivi Intervention to get me to the town with the Mage guild and so forth... it's like being in Boston, where you have the red, green and blue lines for subway transit, and you take one line to one station to switch to another. The sprawling world is still a bit bothersome to me. Maybe I'm just in a closer-proximity kind if mood these days. Playing Eternal Darkness, the claustrophobis survival horror game that it is, is certainly a different experience.
And I haveta say I love the journal; it makes it much easier for me to find things.
It would be spiffier if I didn't have to slowly page through all the pages, trying to remember on exactly which day I did which thing. It doesn't take long for me to get to 90 pages. It would help if there was, like in Neverwinter Nights, a Current Quests/Completed Quests feature. I know it breaks the feel of the journal, though.
Personally, I keep getting fascinated by the sky, especially at night.
The sky *is* beautiful. I have to agree. It's rare for things to chew my leg off, as I'm a fighter-mage who focuses on sucking the souls out of things to enchant weapons.
