I'm becoming increasingly jealous of the weather in the UK. Snow, ice, blizzards. And here we have... cold and a little wind. That's it.

Last night was very pleasant. I cooked chicken, fried vegetables and tortellini, and it all worked very well, along with some red wine and the fire and the inevitable playing of Morrowind. And then we lit the fire in the bedroom as well, and went to sleep to the sound and flickering of flames. inannajones has the fire-facing side of the bed, and she got too hot after a while there, so we traded sides. Although I like cold, I happily bask in direct heat like that, and I slept better than I have in a long time.

Fireplaces are such good things to have in a house.

Game tonight; I really do need to set aside some time to think each week about plot related stuff. olethros should be back in the country by then - I was just talking to him when he was logged on from Schipol Airport's wavelan, so we'll have a full house.

I wouldn't say it was that good; I'm sure I'll get tired of it soon. And Torment is the best RPG ever, dammit. I'll be back to NWN in the reasonably near future, I'm sure.

*nods* Farren's on NWN now. Hasn't played Torment, even though I bought it for him after he went so nuts over Baldur's Gate II. I think he was so fascinated by Morrowind because it was a completely new interface, etc. And he loved the freedom.

NWN is interesting for the module building, and the close adherance to D&D 3rd Edition rules. The game itself isn't so great - a bit same-ish visually, and the plot is woefully linear. The interface is nice. But WhenIGetTheTime(tm) I'll be building modules for it.

Torment is the business, though - interface, shminterface, but the plot! The characters! Woah! farren has to play it. Make him. Even if it means typing him to the chair, pinning his eyes open and playing the first few scenes for him.
