Ulster Bank suck rocks. Because of a cheque I wrote, which they didn't honour, to transfer money to my real bank account, because I can't reliably transfer money any other way without going in and signing pieces of paper, because they're incompetent, my rent wasn't paid at the beginning of the month, and I can't go in and sort them out because they won't deal with me anywhere other than the city centre, and I'm in Dun Laoghaire, and so I'm having to borrow money from my father to pay the rent.
As I said, they suck. But much kudos to my father for coming through without even blinking.
Apparently, lots of people are having trouble with the banks with the euro and so on. Glen (editor of Schwoom, plug, plug) says that he knows four people who've been fucked over by the banks already this year.
Ah well. We'll sort it all out in the end. I figure I'm due some tax back from being unemployed, and I'm hoping that a work bonus will come through next month, although not depending on it.
