I would like to propose two new contractions for English, since they're already in daily use by yours truly.

withe - "with the"
son - "so on"

They might possibly be better as "wi'the" and "so'n", but that's not how I type them...

I've found that when I'm writing, just by the way my handwriting flows, I tend to add a little culicue "e" to the end of the word "with" anyway. Not always, but usually when there's a "the" after it...
