yep, been reading that one for a while - it's the most disturbing feeling waiting for the journal updates to stop, which could mean anything from internet access being cut onwards...
As far as I can remember, LiveJournal is one of the sites that is blocked from within Iraq, although they hadn't figured out about Blogger as yet.
Salam writes a good journal, though, from the point of view of describing a culture, as well as the perspective of the more liberal Iraqis.
Wow... who knew so many people in Iraq had internet access *sarcasm* Iraq got Internet Access for their Government (some of them) in 1999. No service providers are listed as serving Iraq, save for http://www.neda.net/ Neda apparently only services Iran (according to their website). According to http://thelist.internet.com there are NO ISPs servicing Iraq... I'm stunned. REALLY.
Perhaps some of these 'Iraqi' posters would like to post their IP Address so we can ensure the validity of their origins... bet you a Gazillion dolars they won't.

With access to Livejournal from the government ISP supposedly blocked?
Although you could take your own advice about IP addresses and at least sign your name to your comment.
