I'm not quite convinced this is genuine. Book of Erotic Fantasy: "the first roleplaying game, compatible with the best selling Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game, that deals directly with sex and sexuality." By Anthony Valterra, who works for Wizards.

Bizarre, man.

It doesn't sound as bad as the 'FATAL' RPG I came across...

And that WoTC disavowal is a bit rich coming from the company that prodeuced 'Book of Vile Darkness'...

If we ever needed any more reassurance that gamers of the wizards type, were sex-starved freaks...

That's just scary and soooo aimed at the 15yo young male market!

Good luck...

D'you think they'll sell it with free boxes of tissues? *g*

And people have wondered why I dislike most mainstream gaming...and indeed gamers!
*shudder*
That is just plain gross. As for the aimed at 15yo's? Nope, they won't buy it, they'll just take it off the shelf and flick through it sniggering. I would have...
*deep breath*...there is no need to rant this time, Eoin. Eveything is fine...white fulffy clouds...white fulffy clouds...white fulffy clouds!

Well, I guess it's easier than making up your own rules for sex like we did when we played in college, but on the other hand I think if it's (and I mean the book, the rules, the roleplay) not done well, it shouldn't've been done at all. Freaky man.

Actually, my first reaction when hearing about this was, "Finally, after the constant focus on violence in the gameworld, they're being upfront and encouraging about sexuality in the gameworld!" Idealistic me. After reading the blurb, I'm kind of iffy about it. And what do you want to bet they won't have a single "erotic" picture of a man?

Slightly off-topic: I was amused as hell by the newest Dark Elves sourcebook, Plot and Poison. They actually had "Dominant" and "Submissive" as character classes -- finally coming out of the closet about the fact that the Drow were a masochistic male fantasy! Plus, they've got lots of pictures of half-naked elf bishounen.
