Getting up this morning was immensely difficult, but I made it.
Those of you who are on blogshares (that's
wyvernfriend and
bastun, as far as I know) - ye need to divest all stock like now, as blogshares Beta ends today - it'll probably switch to live between 10:00 and 14:00 GMT.
Today will be insane, or fairly quiet. It hasn't yet decided which.
Aoibhneas na Bhealtaine aguibh go leir.

Until a few years ago, I had no kind of handle on Bealtaine. It wasn't until I spent the festival at the Grove (Leitrim abode of Isolde &co.) that I got a feel for it at all. (I'm a Samhain baby, so I suppose you could call this getting in touch with my light side...) Silly songs and games have a way of loosening the mental ties I normally live with, and walking up Sheemore at dawn to watch the sun rise over Sheebeg was a genuinely magical experience.
So, all together now:
You are my Sun God,
My only Sun God,
You make me happeeeeeee
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, Lugh,
How much we loooove yooooo,
Please don't take our sunshine awaaaaaay!
