It isn't that bad - generally the content keeps you motivated. But even more so than full time undergraduate regular college, the only person who has responsibility over what you do is yourself.
Looks pretty wide ranging - the OU is great, if you can find enough time to study and motivate yourself, definitely tends to go into things in more depth. International Relations as a subject usually requires a *lot* of reading, fascinating if you find the subject matter appeals of course - friedns of mine at Uni did it and got a lot out of it, me would have been bored stiff :)
