Having had a day off yesterday, this is effectively Monday again. And what a Monday it is; I woke up to reflected sunlight blasting into my eyes from a window across the street (having woken up a bit earlier and gone back to sleep for half an hour), I have a headache, it's too damn hot in here, and the only coffee in the place is the instant, which seems fouler than usual.

Having fine-tuned my interest list yesterday, I was poking at other people's. It seems a bit banal to say you can learn a lot about people from looking at them, but you can. You can see that interests are mostly literary, or mostly in film, or mostly in odd sexual practices, or animals, or gaming. You can see that some people shoved a few things into the interest field when they signed up, and haven't changed it since. You can see that some are fine-tuned - mostly those that have hit the maximum of 150 - to reflect exactly what the user wants to say, and that some are quite different to the journal kept with them.

Mm. I had a point when I started with that, but I forget what it was. Go look at my interest list and ask me stuff about it, or something...

Hmm... yes I should work on my interest list. Must do so tonight, should be working now... in theory anyway.

You have 242 friends? How do you ever keep up with your friends page?

Many of them are fictional characters, who only post once a week after a game. Many more are people who only post once a week anyway. And otherwise, well, I read fast. :P

I know someone who reads almost 500 - correction, over 500 - people, and reads every word.

Thanks for the inspiration. Hmm, some people on my friends lists are listed as other people's interests. *does that*. Some people have listed authors. *does that*. This could get long...

Some people are also lazy with their interests lists: they put things like their friends' names, or colours, or inane stuff like that. (How interesting is soy milk?)

As for questions: yeah, all the things that aren't underlined. What are those?

Also, which Bruno?

Well, someone might have an obsessive relationship with the colour puce, for instance. And I do know some folks who are lactose intolerant and therefore interested in soy milk to some degree.

The unlinked interests are ones unique to me. You can see listings of the people interested in each of the others by clicking on them.

Bruno = Chis Baldwin's web comic.

Re:

Yes, I was wondering what the unlinked interests were. :)

I list the comic as "Bruno Baldwin" to distinguish it from "Bruno the Bandit".
