Good weekend. Relaxing weekend. Weekend of much sleep, actually. I got in a good nine or ten hours sleep on both Friday and Saturday nights.
Friday night featured a game of Age of Legends in which, among other developments, Emma took part in something of a restructuring of the Empire of Norvad, and her nemeses, the House of Kai'a, were pretty much wiped out. The Merciful Empire has reared its ugly head again, and it seems the new face is known, if the inferences drawn are correct - Blivarra.
Saturday was the first game of Kingfisher's Way. It went very well, from my point of view - the party is coming together nicely, displaying about the right degree of curiousity, and making some interesting choices. I was rather stunned when they left the glowing, obviously magical sword behind in the Tomb of Kherra - having decided that desecrating the tomb would be bad. And in fact, of the opponents they faced, they actually brought in one of them for healing in the Temple of Orith, and let another one go free. And the party dynamics are working out nicely, too. A very interesting party, indeed, and one I like the look of.
Sunday, then, involved a trip into town to show Katri and Riikka the landmarks - or at least the book, game and comic shops. We ate in Wagamama with
wyvernfriend and
grutok, and then headed out home with them in tow.
grutok and I discussed liveships and Alternity, and there was apparently politics talk going on elsewhere there. Somewhere along the way, we managed to consume two bottles of wine; I'm not quite sure where they vanished to.
And then Monday, and so far we've had some network fun, and an apparent scam attempt. Yay for Mondays.
On the other hand, I managed to buy into 35000 shares of MT, the MSFT of Blogshares. So that was good. Cheers,
bastun.
