Hm. The day hasn't been too bad so far; I keep suspecting that something is lying in wait to take advantage of my still fuzzy mind. The pressure has fallen back below the comfort threshold, the humidity is down, and it's pleasantly sunny outside. It looks good.

I have a copy of the Stronghold Builder's Guide again, and I'm finding again how much it rocks. I'm fairly certain that the campaigns I've run over the last five years would have been vastly better if I'd had access to it, the Book of Vile Darkness, and the Epic Level Handbook. Ah well. Still pretty damn good, as campaigns go.

I'm going to have to find some planning time to sit down and go over ideas for all three campaigns - Age of Legends in particular needs some attention on various levels, most notably the mapping and backgrounding of the continent of Norvad, but also a great deal of work on the relationships between the different new religious orders.

It's a shame no one's running a good pbem or online blog game. I'm in a campaign now, but I could use a change.

It is wonderful (well, no, it's vile). It's the best thing ever (my players hate it). It has rules for sacrifice, liquid pain, torture. It has some fantastic monsters. It leads some of my NPCs to rub their hands in glee, and others to smile very slightly. Some of these are even allies of the PCs.

I love that book.
