Somewhere along the line, I evidently turned into a geek. From a conversation with a co-worker here:

[livejournal.com profile] gothwalk: ... and I got to use a closing image tag. How cool is that?

Yeah, that's somewhat cool. But the unfolded hypercube is cooler.

Okay, c'mon, what the heck is a closing image tag, and why would you want to use it? I'm assuming you mean </img> but I'm damned if I know what context would require you to do <img src="someimage.jpg">Some content</img>, and what it would achieve if you did that...?

It's in XSL, and I used it when I had an image URL in the XML. So it looks like this:

<img border="0">
<xsl:attribute name="src">
<xsl:value-of select="./location" />
</xsl:attribute>
</img>

With the very cool </img> tag in there at the end.

You have a tesseract as one of your user pictures . . . and you didn't realise you were a geek? Dude.
