A thing I don't like about autumn is the fact that the mornings get darker. I have no problem with the evenings drawing in; indeed, I like it because it makes them seem that much longer. But getting up in the half-light isn't so great, and I'm not dreadfully keen on getting up when it's dark, either. It'd be easier if it was frosty *looks skywards in a hinting fashion*.

I'm going to try to do some writing tonight - game writing for Friday, a Times, and some more of the Gaelcon adventure. Hopefully, nothing will come up to interfere with this...

Good gods damn. Just when I thought it was safe to look around again, I took a glance at Sadbh's blog for the first time in ages, and found the best written piece about September 11th that or anyone else is ever likely to see. Go here and scroll down to the entry for August 21st.

Ugh. Tired. Slightly zoned out, in a way that would be good for coding if the requirements for the project would stay in one place. However, either people haven't communicated what they want in the first place, or they change thier minds... and just now I looked away from the screen and there are lines of code superimposed on my vision. Not just afterimages, now - I could read off this code. I haven't the energy to be annoyed.

And a co-worker just passed behind me, remarking "We should get a little dog, so we could throw him scraps at lunchtime." Surreal.

Ugh. The project that I started on Tuesday is due on Friday; I only found this out today. The parameters for it have changed, and parts of it are in ASP, which only one person in the company knows anything about - and not a lot at that. I'm going to have to put in more overtime tomorrow evening to get it done. This is all coming up after a day that was already tough, with a large part of it going on a stubborn javascript (which I didn't get to work, either). I'm feeling stressed and somewhat grouchy, in a manner that doesn't happen often. So I'm just going to spod and unwind for an hour or so, shower, and then get some writing and an update on Greenwood Games done. Gods help anyone who actually annoys me this evening...
