The 46A is now declared an unreliable way to get to work. I wasn't at my desk until 09:35 today.

Work is piling up in an interesting fashion; the Superbowl on Sunday is doing all kinds of things to the stress load around here.

Guh. Want to write more, likely won't have time, going to hit update for now...

Dropping in quickly again to say bad things about Bush, though:

"To help get its message out around the world, the White House formally announced today that Mr. Bush had established an Office of Global Communications to guide United States government agencies in how to "disseminate truthful, accurate and effective messages about the American people and their government" to audiences around the world." (NY Times)

Hi. I'd like to introduce you to the new Office of Propaganda. Truthful, Accurate and Effective, eh? I think we can ignore the first two there.

Does it not seem a little, er, dodgy that such an office needs establishing?

And hey, because I'm busy, here's some more: Four Wingéd Beastes! Revalations come to life! A few million years too early, though: They were dinosaurs.

OK, I said I'd be selling stuff, and I am. First on the block is Masaumune Shirow's Appleseed, books 1-4. (Manga, robots, explosions, cyborgs, power armour, obligatory shower scenes, etc). They're in good nick - indeed, they look new to me. Make your bids in comments here or in email if you want them. They'll available until, say, next Wednesday evening, and if I haven't gotten any offers by then, I'll eBay them.

EDIT: Sold! - Keep an eye out for more items.
