LJ is being difficult to contact this morning; apparently it's under a DDOS. I don't understand why someone would subject Livejournal to such an attack. It's like throwing flour bombs at the Post Office, or something.

We checked out our new local last night - R McSorleys, just up the road, and I'm pleased that it's a very nice pub - two open fires, lots of nooks and crannies and almost-private spaces, and a good atmosphere. [livejournal.com profile] olethros even found a smoke-free seat.

Projects for tonight: Clear the dining room some more, write tomorrow's game and do some long-term plotting, put the metal numbers I bought two weeks ago on the front door. Buy kindling on the way home, so we can light fires.

And I'll do a bit more pimping for [livejournal.com profile] davonian, because there are only eight people watching it at the moment, and I think it's worth advertising a bit more. It contains various snippets of information on my D&D campaign world.

Have you ever heard anything so daft?

So, gonna rename French kissing while you're at it, guys? Honestly, this whole thing is a really good example of how politicians can distract the population. There's no good reason for a war in Iraq, so quick! Distract them with, uh, France, yeah! Bad Frenchies! And the population gets in line and obediently starts to slag off France. It's weird to watch.
