Taste tribes

I'm taking a break from the current OU essay, and trying not get too caught up in the writings of Victorians who evidently had nothing else to do but churn out essays on religion and anthropology (Edward Tylor and Émile Durkheim, if you're interested). My mind is stuck in an academic track (or as close as I get, sort of the gutter running alongside the academic track, I think) and so this article on taste tribes is fascinating me. In fact, the whole Mindjack site might well suck me in and not let go. Must return to essay soon. And then watch more Firefly. I desperately need avatars.
