So, there was a weekend there someplace. Saturday disappeared in a blur of breakfast and grocery shopping and then the Kingfisher's Way game, which went well. More on that in a bit. Toward Saturday night, I was convinced on and off that it was the end of the weekend, and kept getting happy little thrills when I remember it was in fact not, with Sunday to go.
Sunday was mostly spent on writing the d20 Modern/D&D scenario for Gaelcon. It's written now, and one quarter of it is typed up. The rest will follow soon. I wrote the main part of it essentially in one burst, sitting at the dining room table by the fire as
inannajones worked on something for college. It wasn't a bad way to spend a Sunday, and I think we might do more of that kind of working in the future; having someone also working at the table seems to keep you there better than working on your own.
Then we wandered over to Donnybrook to buy brandy, since we're out of it, and stuff to eat, since we didn't have any of that either. Cured pork and pineapple go very well together. And cured pork and blue cheese in a fresh baguette - that's really good. We sat and read - The Authority and How to Eat - for a while, and then washed up before bed.
