The doctor's office must be really pushed for time. I phoned up, asked if I could see the doc to get a med cert, and the receptionist told me not to come in (she could hear me coughing, which was probably some help) and that she'd post me a cert. This was after a non-stop engaged tone for about two hours, and at one point, the message you usually hear on the mobile networks; "The customer you are calling is not reachable at the moment. Please try again later."

I turned on the TV for a few minutes between trying the doctor's number, and was somewhat surprised to find Ali, a tarot-reader of my acquaintance, doing an agony aunt spot on a morning show.

The respiratory stuff, mysteriously absent from my symptoms up to now, has arrived. You don't want the details.

That involves moving, and actually watching the idiot box. The only stuff I really want to watch right now is Farscape, and I'm banned from watching that without [livejournal.com profile] inannajones. I've little enough tolerance for TV at the best of times, and this is not the best of times.

There's something about daytime TV that just makes you sicker - Judge Judy alone can slow down your recovery considerably and personally makes me wonder what courses I need to do to learn the skills required to develop an orbital death cannon.

Not as bad as some of the chatshows and the fact that even with multichannel I've seen most of the documentaries that I want to see!! They've only shown some of the very interesting ones once, pah! Can I nominate Rikki Lake, Pat Kenny, Jenny Jones and some of the others for the cannon first?? Oh and leave Oprah out of it for the moment, Michael Moore (here this weekend BTW!) is running a maybe joke campaign to have her elected president and I want to see what happens, after that shes all yours!!
