There was a strange sort of frost this morning. It was mostly melted by the time I was headed out for work, but there were patches where it wasn't, and it was a genuine hoar-frost in those areas, actually a measurable few millimetres thick. They weren't even pockets or hollows, but places like open lawns and the steps and flat areas at the east end of the pond in Herbert Park.

Looking at the forecasts for the next few days, it's to stay cold, down around the 6°C mark. I'm enjoying the chill. And one weather forecast is giving north-easterlies for around the 11th of December, but I'm not sure whether I believe it or not. North-easterlies in November-February in the British Isles usually bring snow.

My feelings towards snow are mixed. There's a chance it'd mess with getting to/from work, which I really wouldn't like. But, on the other hand... snow!

The temperatures here have been in the 60+F range for the last week. This morning it is 33F and the precipitation is taking a suspiciously dandruffy look.

Btw, my sister Maura confirms she thinks there are fewer frosts in Dublin than in Lackendarragh/Ballycaden. In case you're still wondering.

Not to my knowledge. Maybe in that superheroine life she keeps hidden from her immediate family. :-) .

dude, 6'C is rather warm out. Thats not even jacket weather unless you're going to be outside for a significant amount of time.

saying that, its been unseasoably warm here. I"m sure its becsaue i've adjusted to the weather (its been 50s-60s, so 10-15 in 'C. And yes, i've been running around in a t-shirt. Havent quite pulled out the shorts. But, it doesnt seem all that much warmer than parts of this summer were. So, i cant figure out that its really the end of november. I need snow...

You should have seen Limerick this morning - frost all over the place (thankfully melted off the car by the time I got out). Much low-lying fog on the Curragh yesterday evening, of the spooky X-Files sort.
Snow, I'm not looking forward to, or at least having to drive in it...
