Right. Everything in the house is ready. The tree is in and up - I think I worried [livejournal.com profile] socmot a bit by lifting it on my own, but really, it wasn't that heavy. There is holly in all kinds of places. The cat is sulking on top of the wardrobe. The fires are ready to be lit. There are candles everywhere. The infmaous traditional Yule Log is in the fridge, and ready to kill people by sheer choclatiness - [livejournal.com profile] inannajones makes it every year, and it's now very very well known. There are several bottles of wine standing ready to be mulled. I am now in the suit (black), shirt (grey) tie (deep maroon) and all, and I'll have you know I have a full Windsor knot in it, and we'll ignore the fact that I had to look up a diagram to remember how. [livejournal.com profile] inannajones' dress is waiting for her to emerge from the bath - it's been handmade by [livejournal.com profile] caturah, it's green and gold, and it's utterly gorgeous. We've been aided in party preparation by [livejournal.com profile] caturah, [livejournal.com profile] puritybrown and [livejournal.com profile] socmot, who ferried me all over the south side of Dublin for various bits and pieces.

There will be pictures, of course.

It all sounds wonderful! I'll look forward to the pics.

(And it's not really festive without a sulky cat.)

Yes - I hope it all goes brilliantly. I'm sure it will. Meanwhile, I'm still coughing my guts up over here :/
