Peter Jackson apparently says "I can assure you that the DVD version of Return of the King will be longer than 4 hours and 50 min".

that would be cool indeed but I suspect it might just be a transcript error. I read somewhere that the DVD version of ROTK would be 4h 15mn so you know between fifteen and fifty there is not much to a dane's ear ;)
