It's actually cold out. Like, properly. My inside/outside thermometer says it's -2.0°C outside, and it seems to be around -5°C at Dublin Airport. This is a thing of much excellence, and I am now going to go and enjoy the walk to the train.

"Actually, properly cold", ha!

Right now the flight information screen shows -7 °C at the local airport. We are remarking on what a mild day we are having.

Of course, having an open sea does wonders to the chilling effect. The same temperature feels much more comfortable here than in Helsinki.

May I ask how long your walk to the train is?

I enjoy a cold morning as much as the next man (well, a great deal more than the next man in many cases), but I rarely look forward to it as much when I crawl out of bed at five to six, knowing I've just over half an hour of walking in it.

Wonder did the pond in the FCJ freeze over?

Is this where I'm supposed to say, "Properly cold, ha!" since it's twenty degrees colder here?

Re:

well, it's kinda tantalizing for me since I am from the south of Germany and do indeed know what actual cold is ;-)
