I seem to have missed good chunks of the weekend here. Well, let's see. On Friday evening, I went home, and [livejournal.com profile] inannajones was just arriving back with [livejournal.com profile] childeric and [livejournal.com profile] mr_flay in tow. After some discussion, and some tea, a decision was taken to head in the direction of Wong's for dinner, where we had some rather good food. [livejournal.com profile] childeric parted ways, and went on into town, while we installed [livejournal.com profile] mr_flay on the sofa. Poor chap had had some traumatic experiences during Thursday night and needed rather to forget them.

On Saturday morning, I left [livejournal.com profile] mr_flay at a bus stop, and went on to buy a composter. One taxi ride from the ever-amenable Terenure Taxis had it back home, and we started piling stuff into it, along with a lot of other garden cleaning, which it was very much in need of. Saturday evening was spent listing stuff on eBay, and doing some game stuff.

Sunday saw more gardening, and the emptying of the pond. Something had to be done about it; it was growing stuff that it really shouldn't have been. I'm not sure whether [livejournal.com profile] olethros' non-comprehension of the purpose of ponds last year harmed or healed it, but it's been... strange since. So it's now empty of water, and will have the mud and gunk removed soon. Then some more cleaning, and refilling. Possibly the addition of fish; [livejournal.com profile] wyvernfriend points out that some species of catfish are good at cleaning ponds.

OK, I'm intrigued. Is there a pointer, or will this remain as a teaser?

Excellent to meet you! Thanks for your company and for taking us to a very pleasant restaurant. And I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] mr_flay is still more grateful to you. :-)

Completely! As soon as I manage to compact my memories of the weekend into a write-up sufficiently short for anyone to bother reading, their praises shall be sung on my LJ!

I read "composter" as "composer" and was wondering which one you bought.

there could be cat profing done with some chicken wire and possibly plastic conduit or wood.

It was an unalloyed pleasure to meet you both, and I am thoroughly in your debt for the hospitality. Please give my best to [livejournal.com profile] inannajones, and I hope I shall have the pleasure of your company again soon.
