I can feel a bad mood approaching, as it does every three months or so, for no good reason - I assume it's some cycle or other clicking through a reset. My approach to a bad mood is to retreat into my study and growl at everyone from there, in much the same manner as a large dog, for two days or so. As long as I keep in mind that this is coming up, and set aside time for it, it doesn't really affect me otherwise.

It's remarkably difficult to schedule this particular bad mood, though - it may need to wait until the weekend of the 28th or thereabouts. I hope it doesn't sneak up on me in the meantime, and I apologise in advance to anyone who gets a snappier than usual reception - do tell me if this happens, so that I can adjust moods accordingly.

You're the first man I've known to admit this, though I've noticed it in other men. Mood cycles happen to lots of people, but generally it's assumed that only women have them.

It's been happening me for years, you can tell because it always coincides with me deciding to quit my job (again)
