Quick Impressions, because I don't have much time to write today:

Edinburgh is as gorgeous as ever.

There are too many excellent shops there.

Bought: Runes (wooden), a compiled Amber book (all ten books in one volume), Mammoth SF 16, and two Barbara Hambly books I hadn't even heard of before.

There is a Green Man in St. Giles Cathedral; I knew this. I asked about where it was, and was told that there are in fact thirty-two, no, thirty-six, no, seventy-odd, and was shown about thirty of them by a guide. It was most excellent.

The flight back was so smooth it was scary; landed 45 minutes ahead of schedule. Ryanair get better and better.

All that remains of the cold is an occasional but unpleasant cough.

You were in Edinburgh yesterday??

Ohh that's why you gave your mobile number, drats my phone was empty... if I'd realised :(

Oh well, it looks like you enjoyed yourself at any rate, would have been good to meet ya though.

What I like best about St Giles is... the heraldry (what a surprise eh? )

Ooh, Amber! I may just be borrowing that from you. I've read the first five but haven't sought the second set seriously.

Oh, which Hamblys? And if I've not read 'em either, any chance of a borrow at some point?

You do know about the rather good www.barbarahambly.com, don't you?

I'd be interested in looking at the Amber as well... and what were the Hambly? Curious as to whether I've read them!!
