I think it's time I did another cooking day, seeing as the last one was in early October. This time I shall be doing stew, risotto, and a chicken korma (using the recipe I used for the rather successful vegetable korma last time).

Is there a general theme to the mass quantities of food, or do you just plan for things that might taste good within the same meal?

Or am I being too complicated?

Last time there was an Indian theme, and a vegetarian motif. This time, it's more "things Drew likes to eat", with a "cooked on the stove" motif. Stew necessitates a good bit of time in the kitchen before it can be left to do its own thing, so I might as well do the risotto as well. And if I'm doing risotto, that really does mean concentrating on it and staying in the kitchen, so I might as well do the korma too.
