gothwalk: (hope springs eternally from my fist)

Inbound Luas this morning. I left twenty minutes earlier than usual, and arrived in work twenty minutes earlier than usual. I usually get a bus almost outside the door, which goes to Pearse Station, directly. Considering I had to walk to Beechwood to get on it, and from Stephen's Green to Pearse afterwards, that points out how much faster than the bus it is. And it's very nice and smooth and modern-like.

Reads a bit like my occasional reactions when window shopping:

IMMEDIATE INTERNAL MONOLOGUE AT SEEING A RANDOM SALE PRICE: “Look! A pair of Nike trainers for €20!”

VOICE OF REASON, QUIETLY BEING IGNORED: You don't care about the brand, and you hardly ever wear the trainers you have, so you're essentially about to waste €20.

IIMaSaRSP: “Nikes! €20! Yes! Isn't life grand!”

Can also be seen around Gmail invites; seriously people, most of you've had N years to optimise you mail setup, are you telling me you're suddenly going to start regularly using another a/c because Google provides it, and it uses JS well?

(Boring conversation, let's make people pay some more attention to it if they want to understand it :-)

No, it's no faster, and it's more effort. But it's also more fun. And I get to pass by decent coffee shops, etc, in town.
